We designed and printed this 5' wide jet propellor for the entrance of an office building in Stamford, Connecticut. Over 300 print hours and 60+ parts (not including registration pins). Printed with Raise3d and Makerbot. The nose is sand blasted and the outer cowling is chromed, the rest are raw prints.
Have you ever tried friction welding using your dremel and a piece of filament? It's a quick (and pretty fun) way to spot weld seams and is super helpful to hold parts together while epoxy sets.
